North West Agricultural Museum Model E 15-30 "Cat" 4-Pull

This Four Drive Model E 15-30 "The Cat" 4-Pull tractor is at North West Agricultural Museum located near the city of Lichtenburg in the North West Province of South Africa. Lichtenburg is about 140 miles (240 km) west of Johannesburg on the main route to Mmabatho and lies nearly 4,800 feet (1,459 metres) above sea level. The museum (formerly the Andries Beyers Agricultural Museum) is located about 1 1/4 miles (2 km) from the city center on Dr Nelson Mandela Drive (or Melville Street South) across the road from the new Lichtenburg Mall.

The museum contains a wonderful collection of farm implements, tractors and blacksmith tools from the earliest history of mechanized agriculture in the region. Exhibits of blacksmith tools, a horse mill from the last century and old steam engines can also be seen.

The North West Agricultural Museum takes you back into time and across centuries to educate and bring awareness to the hardship endured by the historical community of Lichtenburg, and the improvement and modernization in equipment over the years.
