Museo de Tractores Model E 15-30 "Cat" 4-Pull #3056

This Four Drive Model E 15-30 "The Cat" 4-Pull serial #3056 tractor is at Museo de Tractores located near the city of Villa Carlos Paz, Province of Cordoba, Argentina. The museum is at the corner of Route 38 and Cosquin Road about 3 minutes from the city. Villa Carlos Paz (population 56,000) is in NorthCentral Argentina in the south of the Punilla Valley, lying on the western slope of the Sierras Chicas. Situated on the southern shore of the San Roque Lake, Villa Carlos Paz is about 460 miles (740 km) northwest of Buenos Aires and about 25 miles (40 km) west of the city of Cordoba.

The tractor was originally purchased by the Tartaletti Brothers Company of the town of Maciel, Santa Fe Province in Argentina, about 30 miles northwest of Rosario. The tractor was used on an island that the company owned in the Rio Parana. Located in Eastern Argentina, Rio Parana is the country's largest river and forms the boundary with Paraguay and Brazil. This family left the tractor to an elderly lady who sold it to the museum 2002.

The tractor was in decent shape when the museum purchased it. It has been painted a rich red. The wheels no longer have the angeled lugs on them as they now have a modified rubber tire over them.

The museum had its roots in the early 1970's as Oscar A. Gomez, the creator and founder of the museum, developed a strong passion for the principles of agriculture in Argentina. He would put on shows when he completed restoring the first machines, which had been abandoned in fields in the country. Oscar opened the museum in December 2003, which was Argentina's first museum of its type. Oscar continues to work tirelessly in search of parts and objects used in those early years. He believes it is a unique chance to peek into a distant past that we can hardly imagine today. His desire is that the museum would become a cultural legacy for future generations and to establish the museum into a foundation so that all school children of the country could visit the museum free of charge and learn about the past. Fittingly, the museum's motto is "Inventos de otros tiempos" meaning "Think of other times".

The museum has more than 250 machines on display that were manufactured from 1880 through 1950. A large Case steam tractor is located at the front of the museum near the road. Shown are the first road machines that were used in Argentina, crawler tractors, steam driven threshing machines and countless numbers of tractors. The collection is completed with 1950's Pampa tractor that was manufactured locally. There are several autos in the museum collection, including a 1892 Darnnacht, a 1924 Chevrolet with a canvas roof and a number of carriages for walking and working principles of the twentieth century.

Among the other brands of tractors that can be found in the museum are Munktells Bolinder, Crosley, Volvo, Oliver, International, Deering, McCormick, Bristol, Case, Ford, David Brown, Rhor, Intercontinental, Field Marshall, Lanz Bulldog, Fergusson, Pampa, Deutz, Minneapolis Moline, Hanomag, Urus, Fordson, Eco Clayton, Leroy, Centaur, Farmall, Wallys, Zetor, Coskutts, Guldner Wahl and Sullivan.
